Our Mission
Student/Youth Focus
We aim to change societal perspectives on homelessness and poverty by engaging young people. By targeting a more impressionable audience that represents the future of society, we hope to foster a more empathetic approach to these issues, paving the road for radical change and solution.
Long Term Solutions
Without addressing the root causes of homelessness and poverty, individuals are likely to remain in a cycle of dependency and vulnerability. Long-term solutions aim to break this cycle, enabling people to achieve and maintain stability. By advocating for radical change, we hope to contribute to decreasing the overall prevalence of homelessness in Canada.
Short Term Support
Short term support is needed while society implements long term solutions. We provide resources such as food, clothing, toiletries, and volunteer labor to homeless shelters and underhoused communities.

Prepare and Cook Meals
A hot meal is one of the best feelings in the world. Put your culinary skills to work and prepare meals from the comfort of your home! Reform and Resettle provides our volunteer chefs with fresh ingredients, recipes, and cooking classes to ensure that a healthy breakfast, savory lunch, or hearty dinner is available to those in need.
With support from our beneficiaries and local charities and businesses, our meals cost less than $1 dollar to make!
Events
Are you a trivia night all-star? Do you have the best luck in snakes and ladders? Want to help us run fundraisers? Sign up for an event or assist us as a volunteer to take part in our events and fundraisers! Whether it is board games, movies, food sales, or trivia, you can be sure that you will have a great time.
Volunteer at a Shelter
Donating your time to support your local shelter is one of the best ways to give back to your community. There’s something to do for everyone! Reform and Resettle works with homeless shelters to provide in-shelter cooking opportunities and other ways to get involved. Volunteers are provided with general and equity training.
Want to collaborate with us? Here is how!
If you are a McGill University-affiliated organization (club, service, ISG), you can collaborate with Reform and Resettle on an event. We will plan and host the event, just bring your members and be ready to cook!
If you are a homeless shelter, you can apply to become a beneficiary. You can select what services you would like to receive, including our meal delivery service and in-shelter events!
If you would like to support Reform and Resettle or collaborate in a different way, please reach out to us! We can help you plan events, coordinate donation pickups, and supply volunteers. We look forward to hearing your proposals!
